Activities funding opportunities
Funding is available from a number of sources to support scouting activities. If you are aware of any further opportunities for activities funding that you'd like promoted then please contact the activities office (activities@scout.org.uk) with details.
Funding from Gilwell
- County assessors
Assessor funding supports county activity assessors in gaining the qualifications and attending the technical update workshops that they require to hold their assessor posts.
- Activity permits
Permit funding supports members in attending assessments to gain adventurous activity permits.
- Assessor workshops - technical advisers
Technical Adviser funding is available towards the professional fees for use of technical advisers when running activity assessor workshops.
- DofE training
DofE training funding supports adult members in attending DofE training courses.
External funding
- Caving
British Caving Association (BCA) funding is available to support voluntary youth workers (including scout leaders) through the BCA local cave and mine leadership award.
