Supporting Scouting: making a real difference
Are you looking for a national volunteer role that supports adults in Scouting? Do you know anyone who is?
The Adult Support Team are currently in the process of looking for a UK Adviser (Adults in Scouting). This role is to provide support and advice to the UK Commissioner (Adult Support), to contribute to the development and implementation of national policy and to manage the Adults in Scouting Steering Group.
This is an exciting time to join the Adult Support team and the Adults in Scouting remit in particular offers opportunities to directly contribute towards the strategic priorities of The Scout Association.
Significant Scouting experience is not a prerequisite, but applicants should have a grasp of the key issues surrounding the recruitment and retention of adult volunteers and a desire to make a positive contribution to the ongoing development of The Scout Association’s Adults in Scouting work.
The closing date for nominations is Thursday 8 May 2008 and interviews will be held over the weekend of 24-25 May 2008 at Gilwell Park.
