For the second year running, Original Dutch Edam has teamed up with The Scout Association to sponsor the chef’s badge and put the fun back into cooking. Edam is calling upon all future chefs with the launch of its Edam Young Chef of the Year competition so if you think you’re a whiz in the kitchen and confident enough to whip up a meal in front of the camera then why not get involved! Teaming up with presenter and food writer Nadia Sawalha, Original Dutch Edam Cheese is launching a nationwide competition to find Britain’s next on-screen gastronomic star that can heat up the kitchen and feel comfortable on camera. Budding young chefs are invited to enter the competition by sending in footage of them presenting and cooking a delicious dish to the competition email address. If the incentive of fame and fortune isn’t enough, the winner will be crowned Edam Young Chef of the Year and rewarded with a trip to Edam in Holland. Entering the competition couldn’t be easier. Simply capture footage of your nominated budding chef cooking and talking viewers through the recipe and send your clips to Edam either by email or to Edam Young Chef of the Year, Beattie Group, 4 Great James Street, London, WC1N 3DB.
